Smoking is bad for your health. I had a bad cold. That’s why I didn’t come. I’m afraid he’s made a bad mistake. He had some bad fish. As a result, he felt ill. Today’s weather is worse than yesterday’s. She is the worst singer I know. He felt bad about leaving without saying goodbye. We can’t ever be sure that the bad will be punished. 5. 表示“变坏”“变质”,要说go bad,不用come bad。如: The fish has gone bad. You know, if the goods are outdated, they will also go bad. go from bad to worse为习语,意为“越来越坏”“每况愈下”。如: The service in this hotel goes from bad to worse. We were hoping for an improvement but things have gone from bad to worse. To make matters worse, he refused to apologize. To make things worse, it started to snow when evening came. Her attempts to calm them down only made matters worse. |
