geatly用法详解

可用于修饰以下成分：

1. 修饰动词。如：

I admired him greatly. 我非常佩服他。

We greatly appreciate your timely help. 我们非常感谢你们的及时帮助。

Chinese differs greatly from Japanese in pronunciation. 汉语发音跟日语大不相同。

这样用时还尤其用于被动语态或完成时态修饰动词。如：

He was greatly cheered by the news. 他听到这个消息非常高兴。

Computers have greatly increased productivity in business offices. 计算机大大提高了办公室的工作效率。

2. 修饰过去分词。如：

Everyone considered it greatly improved. 大家都认为它有大改进。

The audience, greatly affected by his speech, all voiced support for the proposal. 听众受他讲话的影响，都表示支持这项建议。

3. 修饰介词短语。如：

His shabby appearance is greatly against him. 他褴褛的外表对他很不利。

Greatly to my regret, I cannot attend the party. 很可惜的是，我无法参加聚会。

4. 修饰形容词。在通常情况下，greatly不用于修饰形容词，除非是由过去分词转化来的形容词。如：

We were greatly amused. 我们很快乐。

I found her greatly aged. 我发现她老得多了。

Greatly disappointed, he decided to leave the place. 他大为失望，决定离开这个地方。

另外，偶尔也可修饰过去分词以外的其他形容词，但这种用法非常有很，主要见于inferior, superior, desirous, successful, enthusiastic等少数形容词。如：

She is greatly enthusiastic about it. 她对此非常热心。

His work is greatly inferior (superior) to yours. 他的工作大大劣于（优于）你的工作。
