worth（名词）的用法说明

【基本用法】

1. [U]价值：

The dealer estimated the worth of the used car at $850. 汽车商估计这辆二手车值850美元。

2. [U](…之多的)分量，值…的分量：

We had only three days’ worth of food left. 我们的食物只够吃3天。

【口语】for what it’s worth 不管有用没用，不管好坏：

【用法说明】

1. 注意以下与数字或单位连用的有用表达：

ten pounds’ worth 价值10英镑

$500 worth 价值500美元

£2 000 worth of computing equipment 价值2 000英镑的电脑设备

2. “名词+pounds’ worth of+复数名词”这类结构作主语时，谓语动词可用单数(强调worth的含义)或复数(强调其中复数名词的含义)：
